Charleston Portrait Studio & Location Photography

Where is your portrait studio located, and what areas do you serve?

Pink Chair Photography is my private, boutique portrait studio located in Goose Creek, South Carolina—just minutes from downtown Charleston. I provide fine art portraiture, executive headshots, and creative business portraits for clients across the Greater Charleston Lowcountry, including Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston, Hanahan, and Daniel Island.

Do you offer indoor studio portraits or outdoor Lowcountry location photo sessions?

I offer both! Studio sessions are available year-round in my climate-controlled private space. I do not offer outdoor location sessions during our extended Lowcountry summer—from late May through mid-September—because it is simply too hot and humid to keep anyone comfortable or looking their best. Outdoor location booking reopens in late September when the weather finally cools down.

How far in advance should I book my session?

Studio headshots can typically be accommodated within 1–2 weeks, while fine art portraiture and fall outdoor sessions fill quickly. I recommend reaching out about 3 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

What if I just have questions and I'm not ready to book?

Filling out my contact form is perfect for questions- it's how you can make sure that I'm even the right photographer to hire in the first place. Of course I'd love to be your only choice but I know there are many qualified photographers in the Charleston area and doing your research can mean just asking questions relevant to your portrait goals and nothing more.

Where can I get professional headshots or ERAS photo sessions in Charleston, SC?

I offer individual executive headshots, ERAS medical residency applications, and creative business portraits at my private Goose Creek studio. I also provide on-location corporate headshot events for companies, medical practices, law firms, and executive teams across the Greater Charleston area.

What is the difference between an individual headshot and a corporate team session?

Individual Headshot Session: A dedicated, one-on-one studio session tailored for executive representation, LinkedIn profiles, medical ERAS applications, speakers, and commercial websites.
Corporate Headshot Event: A streamlined group session designed to photograph an entire company or department on-site or in-studio, ensuring consistent lighting, professional backdrop matching, and cohesive corporate imagery.

Can you bring a mobile headshot studio to our Charleston office?

Yes, mobile studio setups and team options are structured by group size:

Teams of 20+: I bring a full mobile studio setup directly to your Charleston-area office or corporate event location.
Teams of 6–19: Can be booked either on-location at your office or scheduled as sequential, back-to-back individual appointments at my Goose Creek studio.
Teams of 5 or fewer: Booked as a single group block at my studio.

How do I get pricing for corporate headshots or group rates?

Half-day and full-day event rates are listed directly on my Corporate Headshot Request Form. If you have custom group sizing or specific company guidelines, contact me directly to discuss your project and receive a custom proposal.

Do you offer school portraits?

I love working with local homeschool groups and private co-ops throughout the Charleston area for classic, yearbook-style picture day events.

Studio Logistics, Fine Art & Artist Credentials

What if I'm uncomfortable in front of the camera?

Most of my clients tell me they hate having their picture taken! I guide you through every pose, angle, and facial expression step-by-step so you feel relaxed and confident. My goal is to ensure natural, polished results without any stiff or awkward posing.

Do you provide hair and makeup services at the studio?

To give you the most efficient and relaxed experience in the studio, clients arrive with hair and makeup done prior to their session. While I do not provide or coordinate hair and makeup services, I am happy to share a curated list of trusted local Charleston hair and makeup artists when you book your session. Any scheduling, fees, and services are arranged directly between you and the artist you choose.

Unlike high-volume or quick-turnaround digital studios, I specialize in painterly, Old Masters–inspired fine art portraiture alongside modern, polished business headshots. My fine art portraits are explicitly designed to look and feel like classical paintings. Every single portrait undergoes my signature hand-editing and meticulous retouching to elevate standard photography into a timeless piece of art.

Is Pink Chair Photography an award-winning portrait studio?

Yes. Pink Chair Photography has been voted Best of South Carolina in the Professional Headshot Photographers category by The Guide to South Carolina, named a two-time Photographer of the Year, and recognized as Artist of the Year.
