Artistic Portraiture

Often times people will think that they need some significant life event in order to justify sitting for a portrait.

I once created a portrait for a woman who would have one created once a year just to celebrate who she was as an individual at that time in her life. There was no significant event, milestone or reason other than simply wanting a beautiful work of art.

Some people simply enjoy the beauty and artistry of a well-executed portrait, and may commission one as a way to support and appreciate the work of an artist.
