Maternity Photography in Charleston

There are endless maternity photos featuring the expectant mother draped in wings, wrapped in a high-end haute couture gown, crown sparkling- glamour make-up popping...and they are all stunning.  Oh they are lovely! I love those.  I create  portraits like that all the time.  However...sometimes...I just want to make the portrait about the beauty of motherhood.  The magic of the maternal form.  The sacred shape of mama.  I love the simplicity of a white background and neutral tones.  I love the look of natural make up and bedroom hair.  Mama in her element, creating life, being so amazingly beautiful that she needs nothing else.
